CONTRACT BASED CREDIT ANALYST

Solaris Energy is seeking a contract-based Credit Analyst to support our growing businesses developing, acquiring, constructing, owning, operating, and selling distributed solar and solar plus storage projects throughout the United States. 

This Credit Analyst will support the Solaris Energy team to review and analyze commercial financial documents to determine credit worthiness for financing a solar energy system via a power purchase agreement. The analyst will be needed for 2-4 projects per month with potential for growth and will be expected to provide results to the Solaris Energy team within a three-day turnaround period.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform credit analysis of potential customers, including reviewing company financial information and advising on credit health given key contract performance obligations. This includes a detailed analysis of:

  • Past Financial Statements

  • Budgets and Financial Forecasts

  • Personal and Company Tax Returns

  • Industry-specific financial information and indicators

• Provide Due Diligence of potential customers, including reviewing documents and advising on key issues to be aware of with regard to:

  • Company Organization Structure

  • Ownership and Governance

• Provide feedback and potential creative solutions to offering financing to potential customers, including advising on Personal Guarantees, governing approvals needed, Reserve/Escrow accounts, etc

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• General finance, accounting, and business formation experience and understanding

• Core experience in reading and analyzing key company financial statements

• Specific understanding of company entity structures and relevant governance processes

• Experience in commercial lending or similar credit analysis position

• 2+ years performing credit analysis for commercial entities

• General knowledge or interest in solar development is ideal, but not necessary

All work can be done remotely. Stable internet connection and computer necessary, but not provided by Solaris Energy.
